Delegados se reúnen en el sur de Chile para la Convención Nacional

“La Biblia como la Palabra de Dios” fue el tema de la Convención Nacional de La Iglesia de Dios en el Sur de Chile, celebrada el 16 de marzo de 2025, con el Supervisor Nacional Carlos Oporto. Esta fue la primera Convención Nacional del hermano Oporto. ¡Qué excelente trabajo como moderador y qué buen ánimo mostró durante toda la reunión! Este bendecido evento fue organizado por nuestra iglesia local en la hermosa Mantilhue, con la presencia del Pastor Miguel, su familia y todos los santos del Sur de Chile (e incluso algunos visitantes de La Iglesia de Dios del Norte de Chile). ¡Qué maravillosamente recibieron y trataron los santos a nuestros representantes del Cuartel General, los Obispos Hawkins y Bañuelos! ¡Y qué conmovedores testimonios de aprecio y apoyo ellos compartieron con respecto a La Iglesia de Dios, su Supervisor Nacional y el Cuartel General!  

Durante la Convención, la Palabra de Dios salió con poder, y la congregación se regocijó y alabó a Dios con profunda sinceridad. ¡Agradecemos a las damas de nuestra Banda Misionera Femenil por todo su arduo trabajo y por toda la deliciosa comida orgánica traída del campo y asada a la parrilla! El Sur de Chile es un hermoso lugar con montañas nevadas, lagos cristalinos, verdes colinas salpicadas de ganado, y agua limpia y fría proveniente de pozos profundos. ¡Pero no puede superar la belleza del amor que se sintió en la Convención Nacional de La Iglesia de Dios en Chile! Una hermana que visitó la Convención testificó que hacía mucho que no sentía el espíritu de la Iglesia de esa manera y le pidió al hermano Oporto que la visitara y la recibiera como miembro de La Iglesia de Dios. Desde la Convención, el hermano Oporto ha estado recibiendo llamadas de varias personas que desean saber más sobre la Iglesia. 

Por favor, oren por los santos y la obra en Chile. Gracias, Señor, por lo que has hecho por y para las almas de los hombres. ¡Gracias por salvarnos y llenarnos de tu amor! “En esto conocerán todos que sois mis discípulos, si tuviereis amor los unos con los otros” (Jn.13:35).   

“The Bible as the Word of God” was the theme of the National Convention of The Church of God in Chile South held on March 16, 2025, with National Overseer Carlos Oporto. This was Brother Oporto’s first National Convention. What a fine job he did as moderator, and what a good spirit he displayed throughout the entire meeting! This blessed event was hosted by our local church in beautiful Mantilhue, with Pastor Miguel, his family, and all the saints in Chile South (and even some visitors from The Church of God in Chile North). How wonderfully the saints received and treated our General Headquarters representatives, Bishops Hawkins and Bañuelos. And what touching testimonies of appreciation and support they shared in regard to The Church of God, their National Overseer, and General Headquarters. 

During the Convention, the Word of God went forth with power, and the congregation rejoiced and praised God in deep sincerity. We thank our Womens Missionary Band ladies for all their hard work and for all the delicious, organic food brought in from the fields and roasted on the grill! Southern Chile is a beautiful place with snow-capped mountains, crystal lakes, green rolling hills dotted with livestock, and clean, cold water straight from the deep wells. But it can’t outdo the beauty of the love that was felt at the National Convention of The Church of God in Chile! One sister who visited the Convention testified that she hadn’t felt the spirit of the Church like that for a long time and asked Brother Oporto to come visit her and receive her as a member of The Church of God! Since the Convention, Brother Oporto has been receiving calls from more than several people wanting to know more about the Church. 

Please pray for the saints and the work in Chile. Thank you, Lord, for what you have done to and for the souls of men! Thank you for saving us and filling us with your love! “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:35).
